Try removing the following from the -ds.xml:

  | <!-- corresponding type-mapping in the standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml -->
  | 
  | <metadata>
  | 
  | <type-mapping>PostgreSQL 7.2</type-mapping>
  | 
  | </metadata>
