I found a jboss subversion commit with the change that appears to be throwing the error.  http://viewvc.jboss.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/jbossas/branches/Branch_4_0/messaging/src/main/org/jboss/mq/Connection.java?r1=60496&r2=61740

I have no idea where to start looking.  Can anyone point me in any direction?
