This is related to http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBPORTAL-857. I have encountered consumers that provide Java-encoded locale information (en_US) instead of the format specified by the WSRP spec (en-US)... So far, we are using a strict validation mode. I could use the recently introduced "strict mode" option on the producer to deactivate this as well...
