I think you are looking at the standalone xsd. There is a slightly different xsd for use in AS https://svn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/projects/microcontainer/branches/Branch_2_0/aop-mc-int/src/main/resources/schema/aop-beans_1_0.xsd
