I'm confused about what in Eclipse I need minimally to create a servlet for JBoss 4.2

This tutorial shows basic Eclipse and he uses J2EE/Web Project to get started.

Do I need to use the JBoss Tools or can I use the basic J2EE/Web Project to create a servlet?
