Your question isn't really related to Remoting.  I'm going to suggest that you either

1. look at Chapter 2 of the AS documentation (http://docs.jboss.org/jbossas/jboss4guide/r5/html/ch2.chapter.html) [for example, Section 2.5.1. "Deployers and ClassLoaders"], or 

2. try the "Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT" forum (http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewforum&f=61).
