senderj, you should have started a new topic, not posted to a year-old topic.

The error message looks really strange to me. I would download 4.2.3 again, verify it with the md5 or sha checksum, and install it again.

Also, what JVM are you using? What operating system? Have you set the CLASSPATH env var (if so, unset it). Do you have any "endorsed" directories?
