I struggled a bit today with custom implementation and took a while to figure out the intricacies.. thanks to this post i could make progress. Also, for the subclass here's the syntax

    <subclass name="ChildClass" extends="TaskInstance" discriminator-value="...">
        
            
             .. custom properties..
