Do you have custom patches applied to the jboss sourcecode on your classpath ?

That sounds like a project that is asking for a lot of trouble ;)

My guess is that you are running with two different versions of the same class (one in the startup of AS the others on your modules classpath). That is bound to cause problems unless you are really really careful.

Does the war/ear deploy when not run from inside eclipse ?
