To futher clarify, currently we use JBoss 4.2.3 in a cluster of two nodes. The services I mentioned depend on the Barrier, this is done by adding a dependency in their configuration:
<depends>jboss.ha:service=HASingletonDeployer,type=Barrier</depends>

These services work properly in JBoss 4.2.3, but in JBoss 5.0.0.GA they will fail to deploy. 

>From what I see in the log, it seems that the BarrierController tries to subscribe to jmx notifications from HASingletonDeployer before the latter is registered.
