This is either due to:

1) You are trying to cluster JBoss AS instances that have different versions of JGroups in server/all/lib. Don't do that. :)

2) More likely, there is some other cluster on your network and your cluster is seeing packets from that one. See http://www.jboss.org/community/docs/DOC-12460
