You're not wrong; the docs are still out of date. Use the attachment at the bottom of https://www.jboss.org/community/wiki/JBossAS5ClusteringGuide[/url] for the latest draft; see also pages linked off of [url]http://www.jboss.org/community/wiki/MajorClusteringChangesinJBossAS5.  Whatever is not clear from there, please ask here.
