Yeah, it will try to see if the deployment unit contains one of the following files:
seam.properties
META-INF/seam.properties
WEB-INF/classes/seam.properties
META-INF/components.xml
WEB-INF/components.xml
But none of these files exist in the deployment unit and the deployment units root no longer exist.
