I applied your patch with same EAR I used for my first performance test. It contains 365 EJBs / Seam components. Deploy times are better, but still far from JBoss 4.2 performance :

- JBoss 4.2.3 : about 1'
- JBoss 5.0.1 : about 4'30"
- JBoss 5.1.0.CR1  : about 5'
- JBoss 5.1.0.CR1  + EJB3 patch : about 3'45"
