Oh, there is no need to apologize about assuming something :-)  I am just letting you know that the example I am trying to run is simple enough that there is not much to do wrong.  Your idea about the conflicts sounds very possible.  The deployed WAR file is at http://www.t4p.com/ZooAppJBoss.war
