Yes, the editor has both an embedded palette and a "sort of" outline viewer, but I find these are a PITA because I spend most of my time pushing these things out of the way or resizing them because I can't find anything in them, hence my decision to move at least the palette off-editor - at least it gives me control over the vertical size independently of the editor area. Meh, I guess it's a matter of preference.
