I had something simpler in mind, not "indexing" per DependencyItem type.
 
Something in the lines of:
(a) install/move context
(b) find it's dependencies
(c) for each dependency do (a)
 
This way we wouldn't always check all contexts,
just the ones that actually can be moved.
