Perhaps I should have been more emphatic. I am for removing the slash restriction entirely, without introducing a new configuration setting. If you have no objection, I'm going to revert the changes related to JBPM-2904, sparing the test cases, and  lift the restriction imposed by JpdlBinding instead.
