If you are still using jboss MQ, I would suggest you update to HornetQ 2.1 directly. The currect messaging provider in 5.1 is JBoss Messaging, and it is now in maintenance mode only. The community support should be very rare.

HornetQ will be the official messaging provider in future JBoss AS. It has a lot improvements over JBM.
