JBoss Messaging 2.0.0 became HornetQ 2.0 a while ago. One of the reason for re-naming is that the JBoss Messaging 2.0.0 is so much different from, and has so many more features than  its predecessor JBoss Messaging 1.4.x.
 
If you're already using JBoss Messaging 2.0.0 beta 4, it should be easy to move to HornetQ. HornetQ inherites the code base from 2.0.0. Only the package has been renamed and more bug fixes.
