I have two jars(no ear) and jboss5.1 and that workaround is not working for me  :( 

I added a comment to

with more detail.  I tried with and without the workaround and no go in jboss 5.1

Any ideas?

We have 5 different apps sharing our EJB3 jar and now to do a stateful bean, it looks like I would have to write it inside the EJB3 jar...ick ick ick.  I want to avoid that at all costs if I can.
