I use jboss.org examples or  http://docs.oracle.com/javaee/ http://docs.oracle.com/javaee/

BTW the file must not named ejb.jar, the file that include your ejb's must be added to the META-INF/application.xml
like this:
<module><ejb>myejb.jar</ejb></module>
<module><java|web ....
