Solved this issue by copying the files +jaxb1-impl.jar+, +jaxb-impl.jar+ and +jaxb-xjc.jar+ to the +%jboss_home%/lib/endorsed+ directory. The mentioned files can be found with within the reference implementation of JAX-B (tested with versions 2.1.13 and 2.2.4) which can be downloaded from  http://jaxb.java.net/ http://jaxb.java.net/.
