The BPMN2 specification allows for extensions for both attributes and elements. Adding a new attribute extension so is possible, but unless the runtime understands it, it makes not much sense to do it. If you are talking about Service Nodes and their configurations (for example MyWorkDefinitions.conf)..those are service nodes (workitems) and not human tasks.
