For JBoss 5.1, modifying following setting in deploy/jca-jbos-beans.xml works.

> <bean name="WorkManagerThreadPool" class="org.jboss.util.threadpool.BasicThreadPool">
> ....
> ....
> ....
> <property name="maximumPoolSize">*xx*</property>
