I have confronted the problem same as you descripted above. I discover the problem is the ant install.demo fetch the incompleted package,
even if the message shows download successfully.

I delete the whole package and extract the jbpm-5.3.0.Final-installer-full.zip again.

to run.

1. ant install.demo
after successful download.
2. ant start.demo

It works and the precedence port 5445 error disappear.
