If you see this on restart, try looking into temp/work directories how big they are. Simply trace which jboss directory is hogging the disk space.

E.g.

> [rhusar at x220 jboss-as]$ du -hcs server/default/tmp
> 16K          server/default/tmp
> 16K          total
