Sounds like a deployment descriptor problem.
You might have a look into the  http://www.jboss.org/developer/quickstarts.html quickstarts, this  http://www.jboss.org/jdf/quickstarts/jboss-as-quickstart/ejb-in-war/ ejb-in-war might help you out.
