Max,

I think that we need to upgrade spring-ide to the 2.0.6 version 
(http://dist.springframework.org/release/IDE/spring-ide_2.0.6_v200806241357.zip) 
because the 2.0.0 version isn't compatible with Ganymede. Besides the 
problem described in this jira, there are some more problems (the search 
menu is bloated, for instance).
