[jbosstools-dev] [gitmigration] BPEL was renamed from bpel to bpel-old, do we need bpel-old ?

I suspect that's the reason for the creation of bpel-old. No, it's never 
been built under that name. We probably ran builds of BPEL in the JBT 
3.2.x era from the content that was moved into bpel-old, but of course 
that exists in the 3.2.x branch.
