Oops, fatfingered.
Let me restate:
*Your master branch's root pom.xml needs to use parent pom version
4.1.0.Beta1-SNAPSHOT* if you want to automatically adopt the Beta1
suffix, etc.
Sorry for that and thanks to Max for proofreading my copy for errors. :)
