Lists cannot have columns. Only tree's or tables can.

 I chose a table as the Ui element because I wanted to display the description information from the extension point. 

I suppose weight doesnt NEED to be there, but I thought it was a nice addition to allow the user to customize order. 

I will fix how it has no explanation.
