CLONE -XDoclet code assist is not working

XDoclet code assist is not working for 1.5M2.

After typing @ and then hitting ctrl-space, a list of templates comes up but no xdoclet tags.

If I select a template all that happens is that the @ symbol disappears.

Also, in the preferences page, all the templates are there (entity bean CMP & BMP etc), but they have no content and the 'Add' menu item is disabled in the right click menu.
