It would be great if the install guide and the release notes includes information about compatibility with Eclipse. 
according to http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=88947 JBossIde 1.6.0 GA is not compatible with eclipse 3.2.0.

When installing JBossIde 2.0.0 Alpha, you should first install EMF Service Data Objects (SDO) 2.2.0 and Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) 2.2.1. from the Callisto Discovery Site (see http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=92645)
