There is no warning message about wrong path to JBoss AS Home Directory.

Open "Installed Server Runtime Environments" Wizard 
Click Add button
Select JBoss 4.2 runtime and click Next
In the Home Directory field set path "c:/ "
Next and Finish button will be available 
After pressing Finish button try to stfrt this "Server" :)
Some error messages will be:
Working directory does not exist: c://bin :)
