Snjezana Peco commented on JBIDE-1499:
--------------------------------------
I have reviewed JBoss Tools source and noticed some issues with JBossTools update site.
1) The previous version 2.0.0.cr1 is higher than the current version 2.0.0.GA (the qualifier uses a string comparison, ANSI c> ANSI G). That would be correct if both the qualifiers were in uppercase or in lowercase. The best solution would be to set a date as a qualifier (v20071219).
2) the update URL is set only for one feature - org.jboss.ide.eclipse.feature. The others won't be updated.
3) RichFaces VPE Feature (2.0.0.GA) requires the feature "org.jboss.tools.xulrunner.feature (1.8.1.3-20070904)" that doesn't exist in the 2.0.0.cr1 version.
The update manager throws the following error:
"RichFaces VPE Feature (2.0.0.GA) requires feature "org.jboss.tools.xulrunner.feature (1.8.1.3-20070904)", or compatible"
and RichFaces VPE Feature won't be updated.
The Eclipse update action won't work if JBoss Tools is installed in a separate extension location, but that is an Eclipse issue.
Perry, you will have to reinstall JBoss Tools.
