Max Andersen commented on JBIDE-597:
------------------------------------

had a talk with gavin, christian and pete today, here is my notes from that:

The idea of a baseball is ok.

The goal is to create an icon that is usable in high resolution as well as lower resolutions (and should also work with 2 colors only).

Suggestions to acheive that was:

The stiches for the icons should be more straight lines to avoid taking up too much space and to avoid the "pixelation" of the seams.
(probably need two different base images - one photorealistic as we have now and a simpler "flatter" one for the scalable one.

The position of the ball should be different, e.g. have clearer lines. instead of the stiches being "half" visible in the lower bottm and upper right.
The closest picture I could find of the suggested one was http://blog.tmcnet.com/blog/tom-keating/image-files/red-sox-baseball.jpg (and rotated 90 degress). We need "clearer" lines, so would be good if you could create a few variations of the baseball at different positions so we could get some options.

Other notes:
The name is "Seam", not "SEAM" or "JBoss Seam" or "JBoss SEAM" it is not an acronym.

Just focus on the ball and the icon for now.
