Sanne Grinovero updated RHDS-313:
---------------------------------
Workaround Description: Use a 32 bit JVM (was: `mkdir -p lib/i368/client; touch lib/i386/client/libjvm.so` in the selected directory)
Environment: Linux x86_64, any 64bit jdk (was: Linux x86_64, any jdk)
Component/s: (was: Build)
(was: integration)
Fix Version/s: (was: LATER)
Description:
support for 64bit JVM's could be marked "minor" still I would suggest putting a more reasonable warning in the installer,
currently it says "The chosen directory does not contain a Java VM".
This is very misleading and I've been losing much time because of this.
was:
When picking the JVM, the installer shows a "The chosen directory does not contain a Java VM"-message, when picking a 64-bit jdk.
It checks for "selected-path/lib/i386/client/libjvm.so" to verify the path but it is "selected-path/lib/amd64/server/libjvm.so" for a 64-bit jdk.
Priority: Critical (was: Minor)
Workaround: (was: [Workaround Exists])
Very sorry I should'nt have cloned the other issue, I wanted to create a new one linking to the other issue.
