Max Andersen commented on RHDS-313:
-----------------------------------

I never understood why we need to point to the os specific library - why not just use bin/java as the argument to -vm as described at http://help.eclipse.org/help21/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse.platform.doc.user/tasks/running_eclipse.htm ?!

> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: installer
> Affects Versions: 1.0.0.beta2
> Environment: Linux x86_64, any 64bit jdk
> Reporter: Sanne Grinovero
> Assigned To: Daniel Azarov
> Priority: Critical
> Fix For: 1.0.0.GA

> Original Estimate: 30 minutes
> Remaining Estimate: 30 minutes

> support for 64bit JVM's could be marked "minor" still I would suggest putting a more reasonable warning in the installer,
> currently it says "The chosen directory does not contain a Java VM".
> This is very misleading and I've been losing much time because of this.
