I guess the issue is that the "templates" are too naive about what they are actually being used with.

Slava's changes will work for WTP's, but not for general projects.

Don't know how the original libs were intended to work....

Slava - when you are done please assign this to Rob so he can take a look at how to solve this more permantly. thanks.
