talked with gavin. the issue with the dialect field was that on mac you actually have to double click to get the combobox to go away again...it feels sticky. apparently the standard on mac.

but talking further we realized the that db type and dialect are actually redundant and not linked together as they should. needs to be fixed down the road but for GA lets just do whats in JBIDE1228
