I have replaced ctrl-F6 and ctrl-shift-F6 with shift-F6 and alt-shift-F6 respectively.
I have also added ctrl-alt-Tab that jumps (changes focus) between the visual and source part.
When the visual part gains focus, there isn't any feedback. This, probably, isn't possible to solve without using the XULRunner browser either in the design or in the editing mode.
