hmm - you are right. I'm surprised this is still like this since we did JBIDE-2731 to allow for this exact usecase.

I just tried creating a ejb module, added to existing ear, enable the Seam facet but the resulting ejb module is (as you say) not in any way associated with the existing Seam projects. This is definitly a bug.
