two updatesites ? you mean the none-credentials one is basically a "downgrade"-site ? 

We don't need that last part, what we are looking for is just that we get a updatesite that we can say is JBDS certified and will contain the parts (incl. 3rd party) we can/will support - and those who get access to it would be the JBDS customers.

What would be cool to know how they keep in sync with their OS counterparts...do they fork them to have TaskTop specific features etc ?

JBoss Tools will still just use jboss.org updatesite.
