The WTP's HTML Syntax Validators is used to validate the donuments of  "org.eclipse.wst.html.core.htmlsource" Content Type.  (The *.xhtml documents are of this Content Type)
But these validators do not perform any validation actions on so called "Foreign" Tags. "Foreign" tags are all the tags which have a prefix in the name.

At least I cannot find other syntax validators. 
So, the prefixed tags ("Foreign" tags) are not validated for the syntax errors.
