right now the only portion of the entire script that's set is when to prefer IP v4 over v6.   Things like trying to increase the number of file descriptors available, or run.conf support, setting the endorsed libs folder.

I'm not 100% sure this is necessary, but Scott Stark's incredulity that it could work without doing these things makes me think the JIRA is necessary.  Most of this task will actually be changing the guts a little so that if 5.0 has a completely different startup, it will still work. 

Will require investigation.
