Dima Geraskov commented on JBIDE-2344:
--------------------------------------

I created our own generate entities method.
I haven't use any wizard so far and hardcoded necessary parameters.
They are: *outputdir*, *package name*, existing *console configuration* name.
It won't be difficult to extend future wizard with table filter and reuse our functionality.

I noticed that we must have console configuration to run this generation. Also I guess we'll need it to run generate DDL. And I think we'll need it in future, when other extension points appear(Dali's).
So, I suggest to create default console configuration when project is created.
Or reusing of existing code will be not so easy.

Max, as you want we don't make user to select console configuration we can try to give him a choice: select connection(like for generic platform) or console configuration. If he select a connection we'll be made to create a console configuration at runtime... and may be delete it after generating.
