Hibernate's configuration view should *NOT* be used for browsing data as long as it as slow and ineffective as it is (see other jiras about that)

Enabling it for DTP table browser makes alot of sense.

The last part of your question seem to indicate you are actually not extending the Seam Generate Entities functionallity but adding some seam specific handling to hibernate ....that is wrong ;)

Either do this enhancement in Seam only.

Or add it as a feature of the hibernate generic code generation launcher mechanism which then can be utilized by the Seam Generate Entities functionllity to cut down the number of questions needed to be asked.
