It seems more like a bug of RchFaces, not VPE.
In my opinion, There are two issues of RichFaces, on the screenshot-2:
   - The header of the table should span the entire row, but it spans only the first row.
   - Every header of a column should be over the column, but two last headers does not have any column under them.
