Tom, a tip is that you can use Help > Report a problem to get a file generated with relevant log files which you can attach and if Smooks code is using the error logging correctly we will be able to see the full stacktraces.

If that file is not appropriate for you go to Error Log View and you should be able to get the specific stacktrace.
